MISA reached the world for the first time in April 2020 through Indiegogo, and the response told us we were onto something real, backers funded us more than four times over within two months. That was just the start. Every year since, MISA has kept growing, new features, new capabilities, and now a genuine AI mind, because the first version was never meant to be the final one.

Before Misa Robotics, Deepak Bhatia spent over a decade building and scaling a consumer electronics brand across more than 45 countries, growing it to nearly a million devices sold before leading it through a successful acquisition. In 2020, he set out to build something different: a robot that could be a genuine companion for every family, not just another device on a shelf.
That vision has come a long way. MISA has grown from an early idea into a robot trusted by over 100,000 families, recognized by outlets like TechRadar and Mashable, and now powered by real conversational AI. The instinct behind that earlier success is the same one behind MISA today: build something real, make it work at scale, and never lose sight of the people actually using it.
